Our history and shipyards

Our history and shipyards

Founded by the French entrepreneur Michel Ducros in 1995, Monaco Marine is an industry leader in the yacht maintenance and refit industry. With seven shipyards and one marina, strategically spread across the French Mediterranean coast (Marseille, La Seyne-Toulon, La Ciotat, The Gulf of St Tropez, Saint Laurent du Var, Antibes, Beaulieu sur Mer and Monaco). They are specialists in the maintenance and refit of yachts, from 8m to 180m. They also offer services such as shore assistance, wintering and concierge services.

In Monaco, the home base for the new concept space Monaco Marine - Merci la mer, the company offers berthing for up to 30 yachts in the heart of Monaco’s famous marina. A full concierge service is available to clients wishing to profit from a day on the sea. All the boat owner's needs are taken care of by the expert team, and they can even profit from some shopping at the Monaco Marine boutique, which is located just in front of the Monaco Marine pontoons.

The Boutique

The Boutique

Monaco Marine - merci la mer is open at 14 Quai Antoine Ier. Dropping its anchor in June 2018, in Monaco’s Port Hercule marina, a small distance from the concentration of boutiques near the casino.

It is a unique destination, located in front of the busy Monaco Marine Marina. An atypical choice that offers a real connection to the sea, it’s golden reflections and its gentle breeze, but also the essential connection with the activity of the marina.

Designed in collaboration with the Monegasque architectural firm Humbert & Poyet, the 140m2 space opens onto the sea, and is inspired by a boathouse.

Our values

Our values

We believe that the little things count, that gratitude is the foundation of our business. We know who we are; our words and actions are aligned; and we take a curious, unbiased, open-minded, and service-centric approach to the work we do.

Merci la mer ... Three words that show the gratitude of Monaco Marine towards the sea; thank you for its beauty and the unique moments of contemplation offered by the sea, thank you also for the authentic emotions it gives to those who are passionate about it. This is why Monaco Marine - merci la mer pays particular attention to the themes of conservation and respect for the marine world; with, in particular, a program of prevention and of course conferences, that will take place within the concept store.

Putting luxury design aside, who takes responsibility and cares about the environment? Monaco Marine has made significant investments in its six shipyards to meet the "clean ports" regulations and is working on several projects to help protect marine life.
